Declaration of Sovereignty for The Dharmaland Community
To all the nations of the world, and to all peoples thereof:
We Send Greetings.
Let It Be Known By All These Present:
That, as of the hour, minute, and instant of Six O'clock, (6:00 PM), India Standart Time, on the 12th day of February A.D. 2010 - the Date of Mahashivarati Festival - a sovereign, independent, and free nation was created to revitalize the glorius vedic culture and fight the ecological abuse, apathy, unreasoning violence, and dishonour so rampant in today's human society.
We recejct capitalism and socialism (state capitalism), because interest based, imperialist economy is a main cause of poverty, ecological problems and injustice in the world. Peace and stability is possible only in the world free from interest and other faulty economical mechanisms. We prefer a fair market economy based on reasonable mechanisms (swadeshi, participation, trusteeship, non-exploiting, ethical consumerism, nature protection, sustainable technology, zero-interest money system, non-violence) and inspired by vedic principles (as it will be defined in our national constitution).
Hereafter to be known, to all future members and to all visitors as the Dharmaland Community, and the government and people of the Nation-Community, in order to restore the return of the highest Vedic principles - nobility, justice, humanity, chivalry, honour, ecology - as principles to live by, do hereby declare the founding of this State everafter as a sovereign nation, as per the Montevideo Convention as adopted by the United Nations. We manifest the State-Nation of Dharmaland as an independent world nation, with its own legal and lawful government, with all international rights and responsibilities that such status carries.
As a sovereign nation, the State-Nation of Dharmaland makes the following claim to various international territories and rights:
We especially acknowledge the territory that is the home of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala (Awadh, India) to be our own cultural and eco-spiritual homeland, and claim historical & de-facto rights to all territories & properties which lie at the ancient kingdoms territory, and all land that is contiguous within: eco-spiritually, culturally and physically are hereby included.
However, we also recognize the modern political realities which currently make the restoration of such lands to us impossible. Therefore we limit our active territorial claim to an amount of land at least equal to that held by the sovereign state of Vatican City; 108 contiguous acres. This is the least amount of land which we intend to buy or be ceded.
Furthermore, in order that our world presence may be established, the Dharmaland Community claims our physical territory to be extant and manifest through all those places that our state and people may physically own, occupy, and maintain throughout the known world and outer space when this becomes possible. These territories shall exist in a status of dual sovereignty, being under the spiritual, economical and and ecological administration of the Dharmaland Community, even as they remain under the civil dominion and laws of (the) other hosting nation(s). We pledge to embody a benign and beneficial cultural, spiritual and ecological influence throughout all of Society, while remaining politically neutral and lawful in action, until such time as chaos comes.
As the US declaration of independence states:
"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends (life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to
effect their Safety and Happiness."
While we in no way seek a revolution of government, or a secession from it - we do strive to found a new nation of liberty.
We, the people and government of Dharmaland hereby formally renounce, eternally and without exception, the use of force, rebellion, coercion, or intimidation in the pursuit of our international status and claims, for such is not needed. We shall strive to be a honourable, diplomatic and peaceful nation, in accord with the ideals that should be shared by all the world's leaders.
We, the people and government of Dharmaland, do hereby declare That, by the desire of the people, the political system of the souvereign Nation-Community shall everafter be an "Vedachy" - that means a combination of democracy, meritocracy, ecology and theocracy in accordance with the social concept of modified liberalized varnaashrama - and also by the desire of the people who have founded Dharmaland, we declare that the Sanatan (Vedic) Dharma and the Dharmland National Constitution, shall be the Code of the Community and Nation.
